Katey Sagal

Peg Bundy's character was well-known and Katey continued to make a name for herself as a performer, not just in sitcoms, but performing roles that were completely different from the role that caught her to the attention of. In 2008, she took on the role as Gemma Teller Morrow on Sons of Anarchy (2008). This role was the matriarch of a Hell's Angels-like California biker band. In 2011, her performance in the character was recognized with an award for her performance in the Golden Globe Award as Best Performance by an actor in a Television Series-Drama. She gained valuable experience while working as a back-up singer for Simmons, Etta Jones, Tanya Tucker, and Olivia Newton-John. In Bette's avant-garde stage shows in the late 1970s and into the early 1980s she was a dynamic performer as a live performer with Bette Midler.
